Blackjack with a Twist: European Blackjack Redeal Gold
Paylines: NA
Jackpot: $NA
In an attempt to break through the general repetitiveness that can happen with blackjack, Microgaming has released a new twist on this classic game. European Blackjack Redeal Gold is that new twist, and it certainly changes things up for the better.
As with the traditional game, the object of European Blackjack Redeal Gold is to attain a hand with that has a total value of as close to 21 as possible without exceeding that number. The player wins when their hand is closer to 21 than the house. So, to start off, players select the amount they are willing to wager, and then click "deal" to get the round started. The round begins with 2 face up cards for the player, as well as 1 face down, and 1 face up card for the house. The primary difference between traditional and this new version begin here: the player now has the option to redeal the cards as many as 5 times per game, which can mean either hand, or just the last card that was sent out.
From here, their options are as follows: they can hit to receive another card, redeal, end their turn, double their bet and receive one more card, or, if they've gotten a pair, split the hand while doubling the wager, and playing each half separately, with additional values being added to each hand. As always, winning is attained by either getting a blackjack (a value of 21 exactly), end the game with a value closest to 21 without going over, or having a total value of less than 21, while the dealer goes over. The additions added to this new variation mean that strategy plays a bigger role than ever in blackjack. With so many options to consider, and so many ways to increase winnings on an exceptionally good circumstance, as well as a lot more ways to push on luck, this will be a good pastime for beginner and veteran blackjack enthusiasts alike. With a little extra forethought and attention to strategy, the potential for a more lucrative online experience is vastly increased.
